Aberdour via Port Edgar

August 10, 2012

Macwester Malin setting sail

Taking the late neep tide into consideration, we opted for a short overnight stop at Port Edgar with friends (Westerly Konsort Duo owners) from the club before heading on to Aberdour. We didn’t arrive at Port Edgar until after 9.30pm, but we had an enjoyable two or three hours onboard Indefatigable Banks, our Macwester Malin ketch before we all turned in for a restful night.

The next morning, we caught the early tide at 8.30ish and even although ‘the crew’ took the helm (hope she’s not reading this), we were alongside the pier at Aberdour before high-tide which was at 10am. With fine weather, the day passed really quickly as we pottered around doing nothing in particular. Kid-free, it was good to just relax and do nothing. That makes for a pretty boring post on this blog, but don’t think for a minute that means it wasn’t enjoyable ; )
